Cycling Workout I Did: Squat and Cycle
Spending time on the ol’ stationary bike can be the most boring thing everrrrr, but with the right workout, the time can really fly. And, while that cycling-workout time is flying, you’re torching calories and building muscle. Awesome, right?
This cycling workout on the stationary bike takes pretty close to an hour, depending on how long it takes you to do the squats and lunges. If you put your heart — or your booty, as the case may be — into it, I promise you, this is a cycling workout you will feel the next day.
I love workouts like this, where challenging intervals are broken up with … well, other challenging intervals. I’ve done this cycling workout (and a few variations of it) several times, and I’m always shocked at how quickly the hour goes by. Give it a shot and let me know if you have the same experience!
How do you feel about a cycling workout like this that takes you off the bike? —Kristen

Great workout! Thank you for sharing. 🙂 We have a stationary bike at home, and while I don’t mind sitting on it and cycling…having some variety is very appealing to me. 😀
I love how you’ve used the bike as an HIIT cardio tool and mixed it up with some awesome leg/booty moves. There seems to be so much focus on have a really great bottom these days! This workout will really help to create toned and shapely bum & legs.
Love this workout too! Great to know others who appreciated this too. Thanks for sharing!
Presently I use a recumbent bike to get good results. I find it is better for me to complete my 60 to 90 minutes routine without any breaks. From my experience, stopping do create the desire to stop the home cycling workout.
Good workout! I like your sharing. Thanks!
I am NOT a girl… or a woman. I just do daily fitness. And this is the routine that I have. I just make small adjustments here and there to fit my level of fitness, and always end up feeling accomplished.
