The thing is the vast majority of the things we worry about are outside of our control. If we could focus on that small percentage of things that truly are within our control, imagine what we could accomplish. Of course, as you pointed out, once we figure out what those things are, we need to take action. I love the saying, “It’s impossible to wring your hands while rolling up your sleeves.” I’m with you on the quest to rid ourselves of worry!

I’ve always been a somewhat anxious person but it’s something I’m really dealing with at the moment, mostly because I’m 38 weeks pregnant with my first baby! At the risk of sounding like shameless self promotion, I wrote about what I was doing to keep anxiety/worry under control a few weeks ago over on my blog. I found, like you mentioned, that calling it out and then taking action about the things you can actually control has helped so much!
