I was wondering why you had to do full general anaesthetic rather than spinal block for the procedure? Was it because of the time required for it to kick in?

YES! Isn’t that crazy?!

And I don’t think a lot of moms talk about it with pregnant moms because they don’t want to freak them out. Obviously, the goal is always an easy and safe birth. But, yeowsers, when you find out that so many of us have had it. And systems aren’t really in place to help heal in most medical settings and communities.

Add to the list off things I didn’t know about twin birth. I’m so glad you have a a support system validating your experience. After my traumatic delivery I found people just didn’t want to hear it.
