Show Yourself Some Love with this Heart-Centered Yoga Practice
Valentine’s Day and a heart opening yoga class go together like flowers and chocolates. Your yoga teacher will typically sequence a Valentine’s (or Galentine’s)-themed class with lots of back bending postures to stretch the chest and energetically activate the heart.
While backbends are nice, especially for someone bendy, IMHO these typical practices fall short because they fail to recognize the heart as three-dimensional.
This 20-minute yoga practice I have put together for you is designed to release tension and create a feeling of spaciousness around the heart with movements that gently stretch all sides of the torso for 360-degree heart-opening!
Feeling tense in your chest, ribs, and upper back? This practice is just what you need. Want a break from the average heart-themed yoga class to open your WHOLE heart? I’ve got you.

I love the idea of expanding and deepening the heart-opening poses, not just focusing on the back as usual. Thanks Karin for such a fresh and comprehensive approach!
